Most of you would have noticed that there are a lot of young internet marketers. By young, I mean below 18 years of age. I know of lots of internet marketers who are young and are already successful in their online ventures. Here are some of them:
Lucas Tan - Lucas was the previous owner of Net Strife. Lucas is a very successful internet marketer. He gave me the inspiration to start this blog.
Jason Pereira - Jason runs The University Kid. He is a 16 year old from Dubai. Jason specializes in website flipping and direct product sales. Most of Jason’s posts contain very little fluff but they contain solid information that is worth thousands of dollars.
Carl Ocab - Carl Ocab, the kidblogger, is known for his famous blog tagline “make money online with a 13 year old“. Carl’s blog ranks #1 for the term “make money online” which is a highly competitive niche. I consider Carl as a successful internet marketer and feel that I can learn a lot of things from him.
Desmond Ong - Desmond is a successful, 17 year old guy from Malaysia. He specializes in website flipping. On his blog, he often writes about new methods to make money. I love his case studies, by the way!
Rajaie Alkorani - Rajaie is a young blogger and entrepreneur and he’s a 14 year old (same as me). He writes awesome content on his blog Rajaie Talks.
Those are some of the young internet marketers that I know. I myself am a young internet marketer. But I can’t consider myself as a successful one, as I’m still learning a lot of things and I am on my path to success.
Being a young internet marketer has its advantages as well as its disadvantages. Let me list them here:
Pros of Being a Young Internet Marketer
- At my age, I’m full of energy and enthusiasm, and I find that energy and enthusiasm are very essential to become a successful internet marketer.
- It teaches you the value of money. Now that I have earned some money on my own, I now know the real value of money.
- It teaches you how to manage money. While, I don’t make money online to sustain all my real-life expenses, I use what I earn to buy stuff online like software, gadgets, books, etc. So I learn how to manage money and spend it wisely.
- Pride - There’s that feeling of pride and self-satisfaction you get when you accomplish something. Like, I can compare with my friends and say that - “Hey! Do you know that I make money online. And I recently bought XYZ with my earnings too.”
Cons of Being a Young Internet Marketer
- Sometimes you are not taken into account due to your age. That’s really frustrating. But there are a few young marketers who have managed to break that rule and have proved themselves worthy.
- You can’t sign up to some programs and services. Many affiliate programs and services require you to be above 18 years of age, so that can be a problem.
- Most youngsters have studies to concentrate on, so it would be difficult to manage both internet marketing and studies at the same time.

Im loving your new blog! What a great post.
I worried alot when I first started about being young and therefore not being taken seriously, but trust comes with results and when people saw that I was in this for the long haul they started to listen more.

@Tom - Glad to know that you liked this blog. I hope to provide you even better content. What you say is true. When you start out, you won’t see success right away. It takes time and dedication. I can’t agree with you more.

Nice list there. Nice to see so many young guys are working their ways up. I’m not sure I was that motivated when I was that young.

I would say that the pros outweigh the cons. I mean, the experience you gain that will benefit you your entire life is worth it alone.
